./shutdown is now available in 720HD when you click the DivX option (many thanks to Stage6 for their continued support). Also, take note that clips will be shorter, but you’ll only have to wait a week to see more!

Not long after Sony announced the PS3 would support DivX, Microsoft beat them to the punch, including it in today’s 360 dashboard update. Woohoo.

I play myself in the promotional comic for Vampira The Movie. You’ll see me as Michelle, the cynical (but busty) camera girl. Back then I still wore glasses, so I get to sport the nerdy look as well. What fun!

We had such a blast last night. The Brotherhood’s pirate party took place aboard the HMS Surprise and the Star of India in downtown San Diego. I was impressed with some of the costumes. My favorites were the woman with a sailing ship nestled inside her wig, and a guy dressed as Eeyore (wtf?). Ben P. was going to dress in his ninja costume from the show, but was afraid too many people would do that. I actually only ended up seeing one or two. There were a couple of Dread Pirate Roberts there, too.

Amazingly, there were only a handful of Jack Sparrows thanks to a warning issued in the invitation. I uploaded some pics on my Picasa Albums check it out!

Okay, back to work. We’re releasing ./shutdown episode 3 part 2 tonight. W00t!

Hi. I’m a filmmaker who thought it’d be fun to start a video blog. I also post text blogs pretty often at:http://www.michelleosorio.com

Questions and suggestions welcome.

Just bought the I am America (and So Can You) audiobook. Gonna enjoy my commute even more than usual tomorrow.

Been so busy here at DivX. I’m on the third revision of a testimonial video for HR that you’ll be able to watch on the divx.com jobs page very soon. I’ll be staying late at work tonight to finish that one up.

Also, I am in pre-production on an exciting new project: a promo video for our first DivX Connected product from D-Link. European consumers should keep an eye out for it! We just did a voice-over test with a very lovely and talented actress, Sara Jane Nash today. The English recording session is this Friday. I’ll be directing the live-action video segments next week and then we’ll be recording the German and French voice-overs and putting it all together with the motion graphics by our resident design guru,  Justin Shilf. Should be fun! Wish me luck!

P.S. - ./shutdown episode 4 shooting is a little delayed, but still continuing. I’m depending on our awesome Kill9 Studios team (David, Cris and Mattzog) to get everything ready for this weekend’s shoot, with the help of one of our lead actors, Ben. Hopefully that will go off without a hitch. I’ll reserve Friday night to finish my shot list. No rest for Michelle!

I’ve decided to name her Vera…

…in honor of Jayne’s very favorite gun in the television series, Firefly.

Dang it. I meant our latest ./shutdown video blog got an HONOR on YouTube. Our first. I learned how to play Ballad of Serenity on guitar too
