I just finished editing, encoding and uploading these videos. Highlights from a live Nerdcore Hip Hop concert at CES back in January. I was not able to get to editing them until recently, but I hope you enjoy. The lineup includes, Doctor Popular, ZeaLouS1, Emergency Pizza Party and Ultraklystron.

Yours truly was in La Jolla, California Sunday night for the screening of Pure Pwnage episode 13. It was technically for work since I filmed the event for DivX. Unfortunately, I can’t edit it until early May due to other backlogged DivX projects, but when it is done it will be glorious… AND in HD (1920×1080) so keep an eye out at DivX Stage6 and this blog for that piece of video-y goodness.

Alas, due to some contractual miscommunication, the Pwnage was not allowed to sell merchandise in the theater. Ben, also from DivX, offered up his car which ended up being where the shirts got sold out of in the parking lot… in the rain. Despite conditions, spirits were up and plenty of people stayed afterward for merch and autographs.

JETSET stars Zadi Diaz and Steve Woolf being interviewed
by Irina Slutsky from GETV. Presented In High-Definition!

I also encoded the interview in HT (DivX Home Theater profile), which is basically Standard Definition, if you don’t want to wait for the HD version to load. Zadi and Steve were very nice in person. My first experience with the video blogger community was mostly a good one. It’s nice to see friendly, open-minded people collaborating to make “a better media future,” as Divx would put it…

Finally, on to the Tiki Bar TV special! That will be my last CES video for a couple of weeks. It’s been crazy here at work. I just started shooting for some fun internal videos that are due in a few weeks. Once those are taken care of, I can get back to finishing the Nerdcore Hip Hop concert from CES, as well as a special bonus video a funny person from the audience did.

I am preparing some shoots for fun, internal videos as well so I’ve been rather swamped. Can’t wait for things to die down in February so I can spend more time on our new Internet TV show concept. The time I promised has finally come. I finally finished editing the special Pure Pwnage CES show. It is finished and up on Stage6.

Jarret and Geoff did a special 45 minute show, which I directed and just finished editing and encoding. For anyone who wants to make their own show, is a big fan of PP or is just bored, I suggest you check it out. In the video, the guys do live commentary on several episodes which they screened onstage for their fans. I was talking on this thread about it. That’s also where I first linked the part 2 of 2 of this show. That was the PP guys’ Wii tournament with Gej (creator of DivX) with/against volunteers from the audience.

So the truck came in today with all the equipment from CES. It turned out my external hard drive with all the CES footage wasn’t even in the truck. It was in someone’s car since the weekend for safekeeping! I could have been editing yesterday! Ah well, these big events always lead to confusion.

Anyway, I am about 3/4 of the way done with the Pure Pwnage show, although if I include encoding time, maybe only 1/2. Tomorrow I’ll be editing Neo-Fight TV and hopefully will be able to get to JETSET, but I’m not getting my hopes up. Tiki Bar will be last since it was the last show we held at the stage.

Till then, bide your time with these little videos I shot on my Pentax camera.

There are delays. JETSET, Pure Pwnage, Neo-Fight and TikiBar footage are all sitting in an external hard drive that is still on its way from Vegas to San Diego.

I spent the day helping a user upload about 30 videos he shot on the show floor of CES to Stage6. Also prepping for school which starts tomorrow. :-O

I will be sure to let you know when the videos are up.
