Nearly hit by out-of-control car on FWY. Shaking. Bless Mustang handling.Other car was f#&ed up. Gave up on 911 after ringing for 5 minutes.

Wow, I’m so glad you didn’t get hit! I had a similar experience with 911 a few months ago when my mom briefly passed out at home. I called 911 and got an answer fairly quickly, but, once I explained the situation, the operator said she had to forward me to another dispatch center. She stayed on the line with me while the second number rang for several minutes. She seemed embarrassed that they weren’t answering. When I finally got on the line with the other operator, this new operator didn’t have my phone number or address, even though I called from our landline! Good grief! By that time, my mom had recovered, so I told the operator we no longer needed an ambulance.
