I also encoded the interview in HT (DivX Home Theater profile), which is basically Standard Definition, if you don’t want to wait for the HD version to load. Zadi and Steve were very nice in person. My first experience with the video blogger community was mostly a good one. It’s nice to see friendly, open-minded people collaborating to make “a better media future,” as Divx would put it…

Finally, on to the Tiki Bar TV special! That will be my last CES video for a couple of weeks. It’s been crazy here at work. I just started shooting for some fun internal videos that are due in a few weeks. Once those are taken care of, I can get back to finishing the Nerdcore Hip Hop concert from CES, as well as a special bonus video a funny person from the audience did.

Per my boss’ suggestion, I made a Digg post about the Pure Pwnage CES Special being up on Stage6. It caught on like wildfire yesterday. Ding! First front page Digg of my life! The article is at 452 diggs right now. I even got props from a PP forums user in the Digg comments. Heh. Yay for me.

Tomorrow I start editing JETSET show’s CES Stage6 special. Then the Tikibar special. Tiki had video AND Keynote (like a Power Point), so that will take some time to put together. I am preparing some shoots for fun, internal videos as well so I’ve been rather swamped. Can’t wait for things to die down in February so I can spend more time on our new Internet TV show concept. The time I promised has finally come. I finally finished editing the special Pure Pwnage CES show. It is finished and up on Stage6.

Jarret and Geoff did a special 45 minute show, which I directed and just finished editing and encoding. For anyone who wants to make their own show, is a big fan of PP or is just bored, I suggest you check it out. In the video, the guys do live commentary on several episodes which they screened onstage for their fans. I was talking on this thread about it. That’s also where I first linked the part 2 of 2 of this show. That was the PP guys’ Wii tournament with Gej (creator of DivX) with/against volunteers from the audience.

Like a noob, I forgot my memory card at home, so I only have two pics I posted previously and one still from the video. Unfortunately, my HD encode came out funky and I have to re-encode it (4 hour encode time on that right now).

So the first night I played, the visuals were stunning, but lag and an overabundance of players camped in all the places I needed to quest forced me to log early that night. Add in the fact that David was about ten seconds behind me in everything I did (both of us refused to use headphones for the opening video), and my Burning Crusade experience was lackluster to say the least. I can’t wait to play my level 5 Dranei some more sometime this week, but I’m hoping things die down soon. Below are some screen shots of my level 58 Druid Night Elf entering Outland.

So the truck came in today with all the equipment from CES. It turned out my external hard drive with all the CES footage wasn’t even in the truck. It was in someone’s car since the weekend for safekeeping! I could have been editing yesterday! Ah well, these big events always lead to confusion.

Anyway, I am about 3/4 of the way done with the Pure Pwnage show, although if I include encoding time, maybe only 1/2. Tomorrow I’ll be editing Neo-Fight TV and hopefully will be able to get to JETSET, but I’m not getting my hopes up. Tiki Bar will be last since it was the last show we held at the stage.

There are delays. JETSET, Pure Pwnage, Neo-Fight and TikiBar footage are all sitting in an external hard drive that is still on its way from Vegas to San Diego.

I spent the day helping a user upload about 30 videos he shot on the show floor of CES to Stage6. Also prepping for school which starts tomorrow. :-O

I will be sure to let you know when the videos are up.

Quick FYI, my new site is up. It’s still under construction, but has a little more functionality than the old site. I have a ton of videos I will need to create pages for, but for now, I have a video in each section. I plan to get a little more organized with the video formats too. Right now I think they are spread thinly between DivX Stage6, Google Video and Revver. On the films page, I will be adding an “extra” category soon for all the silly stuff I record on my Pentax camera and upload to Stage6. There will also be a “TV/Web” section featuring videos I’ve made for Stage6 like the 404 Yodeling video.

About CES, I am still working on the comic photo blog, and will probably post that tomorrow night along with whatever shows I finished editing and put up on the Stage6 Live Channel.
